Welcome to ISBB 2026 – The 23rd International Symposium on Boron, Borides and Related Materials
University of California, Riverside, USA | August 30 - September 4, 2026
ISBB is a long-standing international forum with a history spanning more than six decades, dedicated to advancing discussions on the chemistry, physics, and materials science of boron, borides, and related materials. Since its inaugural meeting in New Jersey in 1959, the symposium has been held at venues worldwide, most recently in Paris (2022) and Istanbul (2024). We are delighted that ISBB will return to the United States in 2026.
ISBB 2026 will bring together leading scientists, engineers, and researchers from around the world to share recent progress, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations across disciplines. The scientific program will feature plenary and invited lectures, contributed oral presentations, and poster sessions, covering both fundamental research and emerging applications.
Located in Southern California, the University of California, Riverside offers a vibrant academic environment and convenient access to cultural, natural, and recreational attractions in the region. We hope that, in addition to a stimulating scientific program, you will enjoy your stay and the opportunities for informal discussion and networking.
We are grateful to the numerous prominent invited speakers who have already accepted our invitation.
We warmly invite you to participate in ISBB 2026 and look forward to welcoming you to Riverside. Please contact us (bfokwa@ucr.edu) to express your willingness to participate.
Sincerely
The ISBB 2026 Organizing Committee
